Step 1: Write your question
You submit one specific question along with any context you want to share. There’s no character minimum and no required format — some of the clearest questions we receive are a single sentence. If you’re not sure how to narrow it down, our guide on phrasing a question covers it in a few minutes; a specific question simply gets a more useful answer than a broad one.
Step 2: A reader takes it on
Your question goes to the reader you chose, or — if you picked “no preference” — to whichever of our readers is best suited to the kind of question you’re asking. If you request a specific reader, your question goes straight to them. If you don’t, it’s matched by specialty — decisions and timing, relationships and family, or grief and closure — to whichever reader’s focus fits best. Either way, one person reads it from start to finish, thinks about it, and writes your reading themselves. Nothing is templated and nothing is generated automatically from your answers.
Step 3: You receive your reading
Your reading arrives by email as a written document — not a summary, not bullet points, an actual reading. Quick Answer readings arrive within 48 hours; Full Reading and Deep-Dive readings within 24 hours. It’s yours to keep, forward, or print, however you want to use it. Check your spam folder if it hasn’t arrived by the stated turnaround — email delivery occasionally lands there on a first order. Read it once when it arrives, and again in a week when you want to check what it actually said.
What if I have a follow-up question?
The Deep-Dive tier includes one written follow-up question at no extra cost, to be used within 14 days of receiving your reading. Outside of that, a new question is simply a new reading — there’s no ongoing subscription. There’s also nothing stopping you from submitting a second question later on any tier; it’s simply priced and handled as its own reading, with its own turnaround.
None of this involves a scheduled call, a chat queue, or a timer running while you decide what to ask. You write, a person writes back, and the document is yours.
